Parfum “7″, from Loewe, in Marbella

Launching a parfum by a luxury international brand like Loewe, and with such a celebrity like Cayetano Rivera Ordóñez as its image, has to be done in a memorable way. It is an honour to brief you on this great event, for which we at CAPRICHIA have provided our services.

Once again, Marbella has turned out to be chosen by a remarkable brand -this time Loewe (part of the LMHV group)- as the perfect spot to launch its most recent creations of parfums.

Being Cayetano Rivera Ordóñez (one of our most reputated “toreros”) the image for the new parfum “7″,  this great event had to be designed around the world of bullfighting.

So, no better venue could be chosen, than the bullfight ring in Marbella (were Cayetano has given fabulous shows in many occassions). Distributors from all over the world were gathered and leaded along a number of activities and sensorial stimulus that approached them to this not always well known world of bullfighting.

The idea has been showing it as an ancient form of art, with hundreds of years of history, and guests have been involved in interactive activities, which have allowed them to visit the little church on premises, the “toriles” -where the bulls are kept before being released to the ring- or the little clinic, as well as admire the beauty of a true “traje de luces” belonging to Cayetano -that absolutely unique costume that the “toreros” wear- with its 12 pieces to be dressed not in such an obvious order as one may think! ;o)

And in case this was not enough “typical Spanish”, there he was, Picasso “in person”, explaning to guests the influence that this bull party had on his inspiration and work, and allowing them to express themselves on an enormous canvas…

Straw hats to hide from the sun, smiling hostesses wearing the typical “corto” costumes, dozens of red geraniums and a tapas stand with the look of an Andalusian “Feria”, completed this authentic atmosphere.

And finally, playing “the main role”, the parfum appeared in the middle of the bullfighting ring and guests could listen to the explanations of the relationship between the 7 ingredients composing the new fragrance and the name of the parfum.

Time arrived to discover the look of the bottle of parfum, touch it and above all, smell it! (still a few months before it reached commerce all around).

To mingle with the “guapo Cayetano”, guests had to wait until sunset, at the club ”Olivia Valére”. The welcome cocktail was held at the “Karen Terrace”. Superb fountains, delicious vegetation and magic lighting helped Cayetano Rivera Ordóñez welcome the gala guests with his usual charm.

At the fabulous restaurant Babilonia, with that Arab look as if taken out from the “Thousand and One Nights” tale, the banquet was served. Black tablecloths and white crockery for a masculine touch, also accomplished by the flower centerpieces, which deserve a separate reference.

All hand-made, each table had a square box made of laurel branches with an open cover, which showed a green anastasia, all of it on top of a round mirror with the reflections of some tealights.

A simple yet elegant setup seated guests to be thrilled by the presentation in exclusive of the spot of the parfum, which had not yet been marketed to public. Again, Cayetano was the stunning star at the spot.

As a final gossip…

Next to the photocall at the entrance to the dinner, one of the huge canvas that had been previously covered with drawings and messages at the Picasso activity. The one selected had been done by a group of women… How do I know? It was packed with (deserved) messages and flirtatious remarks for Cayetano! And he read them all smiling! Have a look!
