Tasteful & Exuberant Wedding by Caprichia, in Marbella

I presume that you have already had the chance to read the first post about this wedding, where I shared with you the details about its spectacular ceremony. If not, I encourage you to do so right now. Just click here

As a guest, wouldn’t it be overwhelming to arrive to the venue where the wedding will take place, and find this at the main entrance?

And this…

And this…

Well… this is how guests to this wedding were welcomed… and once checked-in, they could freely explore other areas were every corner had something to offer…

In fact, before heading on to the blessing area, guests were entertained at this site with a glass of champagne and some live music, surrounded by these hundreds of hydrangeas, orchids, delphiniums… filling up every corner in the most voluptuous -yet elegant- way.

And the best still had to arrive the next morning… when everyone woke up to find this at the main terrace…

Yes, you’re right… it is a huge butterfly made of purple vanda orchids! Just stunning, isn’t it? Now, look at the surprise underneath!

Just fall in love with this composition of crystals, candles, flowers and white & lilac candies and chocolates that we desinged… I have a dilemma to choose whether it looked nicer during the day or at night, when sparkling flames played shades on top of crystals…

It was difficult to move from the side of this console, but the cocktail area was waiting… Lighting played a main role and the centerpieces for the cocktail tables, the bar and the way up the stairs completed the scene…

On the way to the dining area, guests followed the path illuminated with chic lanterns and dozens of candles on the ground, hanging from the trees… they walked by a pool covered with floating centerpieces, and stepped on smelly rose petals here and there…

Dinner was waiting at these tables full of taste for details; hand-made napkin holders with orchids, fine tea light candle holders, mirrors as a base for the martini glasses with flowers…

… and the “floating moons”! Huge white balls flying in the sky offered the amount of light required at each moment…

Dinner went on with a non-stop program of entertainment on stage, full of color, singing and artists’ performances… What a party atmosphere!

Shhhhh…. partially hidden, an eight-floor tower with a top cake and 150 mini-cakes below was waiting for the right moment to be discovered… hundreds of butterflies again… but this time hand-made with lilac and violet sugar, were posed on top of individual tiny cakes to be served one per guest… just too pretty to the sight and to the taste!

Before I say bye for now and let you “digest” all this… I am closing the post with this nice photo while the sun was setting… This is the look offered by the head table… The petals and floating candles on the lake, the decoration of the table, the light balls around it… and the shade of the cake!

No, this is not a fairy tale… or is it???

Stunning Wedding Ceremony by CAPRICHIA: Flowers & Butterflies

This was one of those wedding decorations where I wished flowers could last forever!  But they are as pretty as ephemeral and their limited life is indeed part of their beauty… The same happens to butterfliesImagine the most beautiful combination of the two and keep reading…

Disregards of the angle that you chose to look from, you would always be delighted with spectacular flower arrangements: large vases, stairs, a fairy tale arch to hold the altar, hanging garlands from the guests’ seats, baskets with petals… light green and cream… mauve with touches of dark purple… were combined in perfect harmony to achieve a breathtaking aesthetic!

The beautiful bride completed the scene, dressed in the most spectacular haute couture Dior wedding gown design, in a unique mauve tone…

During the ceremony, 500 patient butterflies were waiting in their magical silence, hidden from everyone’s sight…

And when the moment arrived, a trio of chic bridesmaids opened up the light tulle that was separating them from their freedom… and released them to let them fly! High in the sky, over the flowers, over the guests’ heads… a fantastic cloud of butterflies finding their way up to join 100 more, which had been simultaneously released from individual envelopes that had been handed to guests. The sunny blue sky was filled with the best wishes for the bride and groom, carried by hundreds of butterflies!

Stop for a second and try to visualize this experience with your five senses… look at the explosion of flowers, smell their essences, feel the soft touch of a butterfly’s wing, listen to the music coming from a divine string quartet at the back… and taste, taste this atmosphere full of LOVE to nature and life…

You may have already imagined how much work all this was! The design and backstage tasks took us a few weeks and we coordinated a full team of florists and assistants, who worked day and night to make flowers look this stunning and keep their freshness! But the outcome and the magic ambience that we were able to create made it worth it the effort, don’t you think?

And there is more! Much more! Cocktail, reception, wedding cake… Simply spectacular! Send me your comments on this one and watch out for Part II here! Happy Celebrations! Lucia ;o)

Unique & Magic Destination Wedding by CAPRICHIA – Málaga Inland

This superb foreign couple living in Dubai starts designing their dream wedding:

… in the South of Spain

… at a venue where we can stay for a week with family and friends…

in the middle of the nature

… with a blessing ceremony at the ruins of a true castle

… followed by a cocktail with stunning views

… and a magic dinner reception and dance…

The couple finds out about CAPRICHIA and they get in contact with me.  Even if none of them had ever been to Málaga before, and we didn’t get the chance to meet each other until the day before the wedding, I became their eyes, ears and hands over here and we worked together during nine intense months. I can now proudly tell that we made their dream come true in the heart of the province of Málaga!

Have a look at these photos of the ceremony. Everybody made their way up to this site surrounded by the former walls of an Arab castleand the spot was worth the walk!

Every detail was looked after with so much care and love… The ceremony programs, the pieces of music played live by a cellist on site, the natural smelly dried confetti for the toss, the chairs and their decoration, the flower stands for the altar, the bride’s, maid of honor’s and bridesmaid’s bouquets and their umbrellas, the buttonholes for the gentlemen…

(Are you wondering how did it all look so “ceremony-like” even in such a rough location? Getting those logistics organized all the way there was CAPRICHIA’s work! ;o) Look at the confetti toss and find me celebrating from behind! ;o)

Once the ceremony and the photo session were over, guests were transported to the incredible venue where the cocktail and reception took place and this was another big “wow” of the evening…

Just the perfect music welcomed guests to an open terrace overlooking the mountains were they could enjoy a menu of personalized cocktails designed for the occasion …

The dinner setup was the best kept secret until the moment arrived. A typical Andalusian patio was turned into a fairy tale dinning area with candles, hanging candleholders and that vintage/antique-look that could be felt through the silver and old gold palette of colors used for the table clothes and runners, the chairs and the flower centerpieces…

And once gain, details! Being in Spain, the couple decided to make a tribute to the most famous Spanish painters naming each of the tables with their names; Miró, Velázquez, Goya…!

Guests walked in right at sunset… -impossible to make it more romantic- and found their seats with the help of these fantastic escort cards, hanging from a mini bottle of wine, which served as favor souvenirs. On the same table, an album where guests could leave their messages for the bride and groom.

I am taking the best possible final words for this post from the kind testimonial that the groom wrote to me:

“It was an extraordinary wedding – we can’t stop looking at the photos. Our family and friends were also really swept away by the whole occasion. We really can’t thank you enough for giving us something that we’ll never forget.”

All I can say is… dreams DO come true, and I will never forget this wedding experience myself!

We have to thank the talented photographer Anna Gazda for having provided us with most of the good photos included in this post!
