The lovely Spring is around the corner and I get garden-like inspiration… I like greens, I like pinks, and I love them together when styling outdoor garden weddings & celebrations.
I am sharing with you one of our table setups, which is full of romance and special touches. Taking a green palette as a basis, mainly driven by the wonderful green/grayish cotton tablecloth selected, we worked on adding subtle touches of baby pink and light lilac which made a perfect match. The hand-made individual table-cloths, made of fresh rose petals to go on top of the fabric tablecloth, provided a contrast of textures and a sensitive touch impossible to go unnoticed.
You have already heard me insist on the importance of tableware and containers, and this is a good example of what a difference it makes to go that extra mile and choose pieces that stand out and complete the scene in a cohesive way.
Look at the old silver flower vase and the purple wine glasses… and enjoy how they fit together with the mother-of-pearl elements, which add a fancy yet fresh and not over-the-top look: the fine under-plates and the spoons.
To me, the bouquets tied with a superb vintage lace ribbon to decorate the chairs are just the needed detail to make the setup sublime. A simple but cared stationery and original heart-shaped wooden place cards tied to the mother-of-pearl spoons, remind the guests that they are being pampered and taken care of. Isn’t the delicate presentation of the delicious food -including edible flowers- really the sherry on top?
And that’s what I love so much about styling and planning extraordinary weddings & occasions! And Marbella, Malaga and Andalucia offer me so many incredible venues and chances to do it… what else could I be asking for as a Couture Weddings Stylist & Planner?
